Spreading Love & (Youth In) Harmony

This week as part of our community outreach program, quartets from the Alexandria Harmonizers performed at a variety of local institutions. This included the performing arts center at Alexandria's T.C Williams High School, where our representatives also encouraged students and teachers to participate in our Youth in Harmony Festival.

Normandy

As many of you are aware, the Alexandria Harmonizers have been invited to perform for the 70th Anniversary of the invasion of Normandy next summer. What you may not know is that you can help the Harmonizers fund this trip with your tax-deductible donation. Your charitable donation to our Razoo page will ensure that all 100+ performers are able to attend this historic event. In addition, your name will be added to the list of Persons of Note that we will publicly thank both here and in France.

It's a busy time for the Alexandria Harmonizers, so here's just a snippet of the things to come:

VOICE OF AMERICA SPOTLIGHT ON THE HARMONIZERS:

The Alexandria Harmonizers were featured in a spot for Voice of America (VOA), an international, multimedia network. Broadcasting across the globes in multiple languages, the VOA spot highlighted not only the dedication the Harmonizers have to the craft of music, but also the passion that the chorus brings to the risers.

Guests are welcome every Tuesday night at our rehearsals, so come join us on the risers or just sit and watch Joe put us through our paces. It's always fun AND educational. Durant Center, 1650 Cameron St. Alexandria, VA. Just one block EAST of the King Street Metro Station.
